Kabia House is a Community Interest Company and a supported housing provider, based in Nottingham United Kingdom.
Our vision is to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, where they can access the resources and opportunities they need to achieve their goals and aspirations. Our mission is to provide high-quality, person-centred and holistic support to our residents, empowering them to overcome their challenges and live independently. We offer a range of services to our residents, such as:
- Accommodation: We have self-contained flats and shared houses, all fully furnished and equipped with modern facilities.
- Support: We have a team of dedicated support workers who work with each resident to assess their needs and create a personalised support plan. We also provide access to specialist services such as mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse and employment.
- Community: We organise regular activities and events for our residents and the wider community, such as workshops, training, social outings, sports and volunteering. We also have a community garden and a community cafe where people can meet, socialise and learn new skills.
Our mission is to empower people who face social exclusion, such as those who have been involved in the criminal justice system, those who struggle with substance abuse, and those who experience homelessness. We help them to rebuild their lives and reconnect with society, by fostering positive relationships with others in their communities. We offer various forms of support, such as:
- Coaching our clients to live independently and confidently
- Providing skills development workshops and activities
- Facilitating access to educational and vocational training
- Assisting with employment opportunities and career guidance
- Advising on debt management, finance and budgeting skills
- Supporting their physical and mental health needs
